You can, by actually reading the ReadMe. We no longer support
pre-compiled downloads for versions prior to rw1020. sm2 is not supported
for 1.1.1, anyway.

You have also broken a rule in the ReadMe, so do make sure you go
and read it carefully.

Do reward all the hard work that goes into this by taking a modicum of
care over what you do with it. And do upgrade your R.
