[R] How to select a subset?

I have a data.frame in which each individual has information on age,
gender, smoke and many other quantitative and qualitative data. How could
I prepare a new data.frame (or other - what?) where only 'male smokers'
are selected and in which there are all other variables available (to
perform the same analysis in a subset of individuals)?
