R-beta: How to save a function

Hello,

I had trouble lately using R in Mac platform so I switched
to Ms windows, I have just installed it in Ms windows, and and... 
it is really better, what a relief!, but I can not save my files,
and function and data by clicking at save on the top of R window, 
as I usually do on Mac, do you have an idea how to save the files
created on R....
