Subject: R-beta: Version 6 of R: Use Gnu Make

make help (and make latex, make html) fails with:
"can't make target ../src/library/*/man/*.Rd"
with SUN's make under Solaris 2.5.1

However, Gnu-make 3.74 works ok.
