Hmm. I have

hornik@pc25:~$ uname -a
Linux pc25 2.0.30 #8 Thu Aug 28 01:02:50 CEST 1997 i586 unknown

and get

R> library(survival4)
Autoloading required package: splines
R> coxph(Surv(c(1,2,3,4), c(1,1,1,1)) ~ c(1,0,1,0))
Call:
coxph(formula = Surv(c(1, 2, 3, 4), c(1, 1, 1, 1)) ~ c(1, 0,
        1, 0))

              coef exp(coef) se(coef) z p
c(1, 0, 1, 0) 0.94 2.56 1.24 0.758 0.45

Likelihood ratio test=0.62 on 1 df, p=0.432 n= 4

with 0.60.1 and a few patches, so perhaps you should wait for 0.60.2 (or
0.61?) to be out shortly ...

-k

PS. Btw, which version of survival4 is it?
