Certainly.  It's just that I mount my home dir using Samba and
copy things around a lot, doing analyses in R/Linux, R/Win95, and
SPlus/Win95.  It'd be nice not to have to think about that issue.

Again, thanks.  I'll make use of the alternate form until it's
fixed.  Funny, this form *doesn't* work in Splus...

I'm not sure what you mean by 'offsets'.  Could you elaborate a
bit?
