Agustin,

Take a look at XGobi and XGvis, which are data visualization tools
very similar to spin and brush. You can find it at:
  http://lib.stat.cmu.edu/general/XGobi/
There is also a R package "xgobi" providing the interface between R
and XGobi. With this package it's quite easy to load a dataset to
XGobi and "brush" it to your heart's content.

This brings up another question: Has anybody looked at bringing
XGobi "closer" to R. At the moment, the data exchange between the two
programs works with files. It would be nice if it all could happen in
memory. (I haven't checked the copyright from Bellcore about this...)

Enjoy,
  -tom
