Mike Meyer has indeed found bugs in the lm and glm code and given the
correct fixes.

[The DOBSON test is a little script of glm examples from Annette
Dobson's book on glms. We used it for minimal testing of the lm and
glm code.]

I also found the problems with Martin's help fixes when I tried to
make the manual on my FreeBSD machine at home last night. My fix uses
"cat -s" to squeeze out multiple blank lines. Does anyone have an
environment where "cat -s" does not work?
