you could try to use the patch i have previously post to this list. But use a
copy of sources different from your working version of R, to avoid any problem.

BTW to apply those patches, the root directory fo R ($RHOME) should be called
'R' or you should make a soft link call R to $RHOME. I forgot to mention it in
my previuos message.
