Subject: R-alpha: compiling R 0.11 on Linux
From: Fredrik Glockner <fredrigl@math.uio.no>

I feel somewhat stupid asking such a basic question on this list: I'm
trying to compile R 0.11 on my linux box, and it seems to me that i'm
missing a couple of files. I get the following message at the end of
compiling:

gcc -g -I../include -c dotcode.c -o dotcode.o
dotcode.c:39: dlfcn.h: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [dotcode.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/R/src/main'
make: *** [build] Error 2

So I think I'm missing the file `dlfcn.h'. Having looked at the file
`dlfcn.h' in the R/src/compat/HP/dlfcn.h directory, it also seems that
I am missing the file `dl.h'.

Am I doing something wrong?
