There is an undocumented predict() function in R 0.11. It looks as
though it is supposed to predict from a fitted linear model, but not in
the form of an lm object.

In S-PLUS, predict() is a generic function with no default. Should we
redefine it?

predict.default<-predict
predict<-function(fit,...) UseMethod("predict",fit,...)
