It would be wonderful if someone would really exercise the numerical
library and find/fix problems and add enhancements. As I recall I
devoted all of about two weeks to putting it together and "testing"
it.

I think somewhere I have an outdated little report which gives
pointers to (some of) the algorithms used. Some of the code is still
in the quick hack state. There is probably still even some root
finding by bisection.

MY next priority is graphics - event loops, coprocesses, multiple
active devices, xgobi link, xfig driver, persp, contour labelling,
spinning plots, brushing and other video games.
