I also still have an  Linux aout  system at home... (well ..)
and  I can confirm Jim Lindsey's problems.

'configure' really "fouls up"
	1) '-lm' is not added to $LIBS  (need in src/main/Makefile)
	2)  HAVE_DLFCN_H (and HAVE_ELF) are WRONGLY set to 1
					(in  src/include/Platform.h)

If I fix these two, I at least can fully "make" R 0.13.

However the "IEEE / NA / NAN" thingy still fails
(don't remember how exactly...)
