Mea culpa.  I made a last minute change to try to make contour and
image have the same argument lists.  I also made the x and y values
default to evenly spaced values between 0 and 1.  Persp will work the
same way.

I know this is incompatible with that other language, but some of the
little incompatibilities in S have always irked me.
