For the first time so far I am having problems building R.
I am running under SunOS 4.1 using gcc 2.7.1 and get

collect2: ld returned 2 exit status
ld: Undefined symbol
   _xmalloc
   _xrealloc
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `R.binary'

in the final make of R.binary.

Any ideas?
