Two or three points of clarification.
1. The glm binomial bug only occurs with binomial and not with
Bernoulli data.
2. The convergence problem only occurs if Ross's new version of glm
has been installed.
No use checking either of these bugs in other contexts.
As to my comment about glm and GLIM4. No one can expect a general
program like R or S-Plus to compete with a specialized and optimized
program that only does one thing. I now use R far more than GLIM, but
not for glms.
