James K. Lindsey jlindsey@luc.ac.be

Professor in
Biostatistics, Limburgs University, 3590 Diepenbeek, Belgium
Social Sciences, University of Liege, Sart Tilman B31, 4000 Liege, Belgium
Medical Statistics, De Montfort University, The Gateway, Leicester, England

Uses of R: primarily non-linear non-normal modelling for discrete and
continuous distributions, with and without interval censoring. Four
papers using R (and that would not have been possible without it)
submitted to Applied Statistics, Lifetime Data Analysis, Biometrics,
and JASA.

For the moment, three of us are using R (on Linux and DEC-Alpha), but
I expect more shortly. If an MS-Windows version becomes available by
next autumn, I shall use it for teaching about 75-100 students at the
University of Liege.
