1. for those without dynaload, dotcode.c does not compile:
  the typedef for FUNC must be moved up out of the ifdef for dynaload
2. table() crashes with one arg unless it is a list
  l.13 (after the first else) should be changed to
	args <- list(x,...)
3. after a make clean, R will not recompile without configure (already
  in previous versions)
  This can be fixed by removing the line
	@rm LIBSETUP LIBCLEAN
  in library/Makefile
4. I am still hoping that the default will be changed for batch mode
so that it does not automatically save .RData !
