Subject: R-alpha: What we're up to ...

Thanks for all the bug reports.  We will be getting to them shortly.
At present we are trying to finish up a couple of things:

  1.	Implementation of "group methods".  With this done it will be
	possible to define new methods for the unary and binary
	operator and to generally provide a more complete O-O
	structure.

  2.	Complex arithmetic.  This has finally hit the top of the
	priority heap.

When these are done we should be pretty close in functionality to
(version 3) of the S language.  We will then try to focus on keeping
things stable and getting the bugs out.
