Hmm. Redhat has the g2c stuff in
Generally, the file comes with the EGCS g77 (egcs-g77-1.1.2-12 here).
Try 'locate g2c' and if that fails go through the RPMS on the CD with
rpm -qlp /path/to/RPMS/*.rpm | grep g2c
