Dear Alex,

It's possible, though not clear from the original posting, that Ingo is trying to install the Rcmdr package. If that's the case, then he might find the installation instructions for Mac users at <http://socserv.socsci.mcmaster.ca/jfox/Misc/Rcmdr/installation-notes.html> helpful.
