persp (in graphics) or persp3d (in rgl) can do surface plots; is that what a cube plot is?

I'm sure I've seen mixture plots before; try RSiteSearch or look in the R Graphics Gallery.

I don't think I've see tetrahedral plots, but the strategy above might turn them up.
