[R] density function - kernel density estimation

Dear all,  

Concerning the function density from the stats package, I don“t know what is the dependency between the number of equally spaced points at which the density is to be estimated (the “n“ argument) and the data from which the kernel density estimate is to be computed (the “x“ argument). Basically, I would like to know what is the number “n“ that I should use if I have a data with “x“ values.
