Hi Monica,

I downloaded growth.tgz and rmutil.tgz (which growth requires) and installed them like this:

R CMD INSTALL rmutil.tgz --no-latex
R CMD INSTALL growth.tgz --no-latex

The examples seem to work, so maybe this would work for you.
