Hi,
When running R CMD check I'm getting a number of errors that I don't quite follow and don't know where to start looking for an answer, any hints appreciated.

R CMD check trunk
* checking for working latex ... OK

 >AFAIK i'm not using the methods package nor namespaces so I'm not sure what to do about this?

See the information on DESCRIPTION files in the chapter 'Creating R packages' of the 'Writing R Extensions' manual.
* checking S3 generic/method consistency ... WARNING
Error in get(cname, where) :

   promise already under evaluation: recursive default argument reference or earlier problems?
Error: .onLoad failed in 'loadNamespace' for 'methods' Execution halted

 >Same problem here it seems.

See section 'Generic functions and methods' of the 'Writing R Extensions'
manual.
* checking replacement functions ... OK

 >And again ...

See the chapter 'System and foreign language interfaces' of the 'Writing R
Extensions' manual.
* checking R code for possible problems ... OK

 > And once more ...

Functions with \usage entries need to have the appropriate \alias entries,
and all their arguments documented.
The \usage entries must correspond to syntactically valid R code. See the chapter 'Writing R documentation files' in manual 'Writing R Extensions'.
Error in get(cname, where) :

   promise already under evaluation: recursive default argument reference or earlier problems?
Error: .onLoad failed in 'loadNamespace' for 'methods' Execution halted

The \usage entries for S3 methods should use the \method markup and not their full name.
See the chapter 'Writing R documentation files' in manual 'Writing R Extensions'.
