Re: [R] Pros and Cons of R

I feel the discussion about ease of installation on Linux (/*NIX type systems) isn't really relevant to the Pros and Cons of R.

The problems encountered by people are often a consequence of their lack of knowledge/understanding of the operating system, and not a deficiency of R itself.

Just my tuppence, but I consider myself to be competent in using Linux so this view may be somewhat biased,

Neil
