***That*** does indeed work! Thanks. But it's still mysterious, isn't it?
The invocation ``#!/usr/bin/tclsh'' is recognized but ``#!/usr/bin/ wish'' seems
to be ignored. Both ``tclsh'' and ``wish'' are executables in /usr/bin. (Actually they are both symbolic links to tclsh8.4 and wish8.4 respectively.)

Anyway --- I've got *something* working, and that is a Good Thing.
