Data frames are supposed to have unique rownames but it
seems xtable does not know that so just set them all
to "" anyways on a copy of ata that you throw away later:

ata2 <- ata
rownames(ata2) <- rep("",nrow(ata2))
xtable(ata2)
rm(ata2)
