RE: [R] plot gam object

The `scale' argument to plot.gam() needs to be a single number, not a vector. Is that what you've done? You have not given enough detail, and we are left to guess. Please try to follow the posting guide.

All packages on CRAN are available in _source_ form. (That's the way packages are submitted to CRAN.) Just download the .tar.gz version and unpack that, then look in the src/ subdirectory for C/Fortran/C++ code.
