I used this tutorial and completed steps 1-6 without errors, but on step 7 I tried to run R CMD check on my package called 'ram' directory one level above the 'ram' folder and I got the following error?

I:\R_HOME>R CMD check ram
* checking for working latex ...Error: environment variable TMPDIR not set (or s et to unusable value) and no default available.  at c:\R\rw2010\share\perl/R/Utils.pm line 72

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks,

Roger
