Well, it does, sort of. To have it in your backyard you are going to have to move nearer the equator though :)

You can get the source, Theobroma Cacao, but you would have to compile it yourself to make it edible. Check the Chocolate Ingestion and Administration Manual. You will need a number of tools before you can do so. Under debian this is easy with:

apt-get install chocolate-factory

Windows users seem to have more trouble getting the tools together and some seem to believe that a clearer explanation of how to create packaged chocolate in windows is required.
