Dear Bernard,

The Rcmdr web site has some instructions prepared by Rob Goedman for Mac users at
<http://socserv.socsci.mcmaster.ca/jfox/Misc/Rcmdr/installation-notes.html> that might prove useful. (I'm not a Mac user myself so can't offer specific advice.)

I hope this helps,
 John
