Maybe you should read the R Data Import/Export Manual http://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/R-data.html or as pdf
http://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/R-data.pdf

You might also want to read the manual pages of these two commands:
help('dump')
help('write.table')
