Linda;

  You might want to look at the package "ade4" and inparticular the function "dist.binary". Although you have mentioned "Rand Index" I would suggest that you look at the corrected "Rand Index" for "chance agreement" as it measures the agreement between two clusterings resulting from two methods. The corrected "Rand" under a null case "no clustering structure exists" gives you a value closer to zero which is supposed to be. Hope this help

  Hi All,

Except the "Rand Index", "Dunn Index" and "Silhouette width", are there other cluster validation methods in R? Could you please also specify the function?

Thanks!
