Hi Mixed Modelers,
I was wondering if there are citations relevant to the concerns that Bates and others have regarding the inappropriateness of significance tests in mixed models that use comparison F-ratios to theoretical F distributions. It would just make my life a little easier regarding reviewers. Although it is hard to argue with the MCMC approach, it is just that it is less common.
Cheers,
Hank
