I'm sorry to put the kybosh once again, but there are still X11
problems (I think) with R-0.6alpha. R is compiled on a Linux
system. When run from the Linux console all appears normal, but
this is what happens when I try to run it from a Linux window on
my Sun (X11R5) workstation:

bash $ R

R : Copyright (c) 1996, Robert Gentleman and Ross Ihaka
Version 0.6, (Released: May 17, 1996)

R is free software and comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY.
You are welcome to redistribute it under certain conditions.
Type "license()" for details.

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

FWIW The graphics window opens and appears normal.

This could be a reflection of the haphazard state of the system
on my workstation (I take no responsibility, IT IS NOT MY FAULT -
you can ask anyone), but perhaps mine is not the only one on
which it happens.
