In fact FORTRAN has gone from the development tree although on
platforms which support dyn.load you will still be able to access such
code as DLL. I have just been through the process of converting
LINPACK into C (using struct and sed rather than f2c because I want to
be able to read and optimize the resulting code). I will probably do
bits of EISPACK and LAPACK as the need arises.

didn't read that :-) so a little moonlighting is necessary from
time-to-time . Anyway, I am back in the saddle now and a new release
is in the works. Early next week?

The Mac and PowerMac versions are coming along although there are a
few holdups getting the Gui right.
