Hello R testers,
I am getting compile errors with R.

my system:

    Linux 1.2.13 (ELF)
    gcc 2.7.0

The error:
me[19]# ./configure Linux
me[20]# make
cd blas; make
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/R/src/blas'
f77 -g -w -c daxpy.f -o daxpy.o
make[1]: *** [daxpy.o] Error 4
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/R/src/blas'
make: *** [build] Error 2

Any ideas on what's causing it for this inexperienced compiler?
