Subject: R-alpha: probelms installing r-0.10alpha

I'm trying to install the newest version of r on an SGI Iris running Irix
4.0.5. I have made some fixes, including those posted to this list, but
am having one problem I can't figure out. The make continues fine up
until the unix subdirectory make. At the line
	cc -c -g -I../include -I/usr dataentry.c
everything goes nuts. I get a series of errors along the lines of:
accom: Error: dataentry.c, line 254: redeclaration of doMouseDown
These are followed by a series of messages referring to the same
functions in dataentry.c, along the lines of:

accom: Error: dataentry.c, line 1659: static function declared and
referenced, but not defined: doMouseDown
       END OF FILE

It seems that for any function in dataentry.c whose definition does not
start with 'static', the definition is taken as a (re)declaration. Can
anyone offer advice as to how to deal with this problem?
