[R] How to test if t[["cat"]] exists ?

Hi,

> t <- list("cat"=1)
> exists("t")

[1] TRUE

> exists("t[["cat"]]")

Error: unexpected symbol in "exists("t[["cat"
> exists("t[[\"cat\"]]")
